any time I put my phone down after texting, and then I turn it back on, its there. I'm setting it down normally on a desk usually, and this is while its in a case.

Well hit the lock screen before setting it down. (Will also help save some battery power since the screen is off!) This annoys me too, I submitted it to Apple as a bug. They said it was a known issue. I'm hoping to see it get fixed in the next update.

Come on, man. TheSpaz can't be blamed...for this one. :D

Haha, but seriously. When I first read this post I had this picture in my mind of this guy walking down the street just flailing his arms and wondering why the Undo prompt kept coming up.

I must be easily entertained.

"Nothing to Undo" prompt

@AiralynRose, how did you report your issue with the screen staying on to Apple? This issue of the prompt of "nothing to undo" is a major software issue that needs on the top of the list of things to address on Apple's updates. I've had my phone only 3 days and I've had this issue seemingly naturally occur dozens of times already. It happens when my phone is locked, and even when I haven't been texting anything and have all apps. closed. I believe shaking can cause I've usually gotten the prompt after it's been in my pocket. I've tried nearly every combination of hitting buttons to experiment if that could be the cause but I have never been able to purposefuly cause the prompt that way. Regardless of how it's caused, it's annoying and a way to stop it needs to be found.

I have the same issue.. it's not a big deal by any means, but it's annoying. I'm tired of seeing that popup.

They should allow us to turn it off in settings. It's very annoying and I never use that feature anyway.

I get it randomly when I pull my phone out of pocket. I don't understand because I can't shake to undo anything when I'm using it. I shake and nothing happens. This must mean that there is nothing to undo so, why does it tell me now? Any other time there is " nothing to undo" it doesn't tell me. This has to be a bug.

Your holding it wrong. Try holding your phone more gracefully. And while you're at it, don't directly place your cheek on the phone while talking or touch the lower left hand antenna at any time either.

Sheesh! This phone is embarrassing. Makes you think this was the first phone Apple had ever produced. I remember a few months back how this phone was supposed to totally own. I guess I'll have to wait a month or so for my case and more software updates as I test out Apple's iPhone 4 beta.
