I never heard of Hermès until the AW came along. I don't even think I'm a target for their marketing as I am male. I know all leather bands, last only 2 years maybe 3, if you wear them everyday, because they start to smell. I doubt even their high quality leather bands can avoid being smelly after 3 years of everyday wear. Their marketing is so good I don't even know how they got to me. The Hermès faces are nice, they give it an almost analog look like you're wearing a real mechanical watch. But the Apple face that came with AW3, I think it's called the Explorer, the one with green dots indicating cellular strength is a good looking analog face. What did Hermès do to me with their subliminal marketing??

It's the lure of the experience. Honestly, if you go Hermes, considering going to an Apple Store that stocks them to purchase. I only purchased a band, but the orange box and bag are fun.

Having said that, I would not do it a second time, nor would I purchase the actual watch. What you get is not worth the cost. The leather is super nice, but as you said, if you wear it daily, you will not get a ton out of it. It is more delicate than you would think. Also, with the resale on Apple Watches being what it is, I would be hesitant paying such a high premium, although I have heard that in certain circles, the Hermes can do pretty well in a resale.

What do you think I can get for resale? If 50% I'd be thrilled. I'd be satisfied with 40%.

I honestly don't know. I had heard someone mention a site I had not heard of where people were getting decent returns on their Hermes. Look at it this way, a S3 SS used is not that much more than a used aluminum. In general, I would assume you will eat a lot of the Hermes premium in a resale.

I got about 40% resale out of my S2 Hermes and expect about same for this one.

It’s a vanity thing for the faces mainly, because the leather bands aren’t that durable nor do they look high end IMO.

You sold your S2 Hermes after it was 1 year old and got 40%. I thinks that’s pretty good. I sold my SS after 1 year and got about 33%.

There are a pile of real quality aftermarket bands out there. Unless the Hermes version AW offers something more than the band itself, there’s no way I’d pop for the extra $$$, but that’s just me. It’s clear that there are a lot of folks here with stupid amounts of $$$. I don’t, and an SS is as big a stretch as I’m willing to make. Just search ‘ Apple Watch leather bands’.
I have had my eyes on one from Arrow and Board for ages. It’ll likely be the first band I buy when I get an S4. S

All you are buying is an extra watch face. All the hermes bands are on ebay for pennies. Most likely made in the same chinese factory that hermes gets them made at.

Actually quite hard to find a a decent replica seller. I've been doing some casual looking this weekend. Didn't find one I was satisfied with. There was an excellent one earlier in the year linked to from the Hermes thread but the seller has vanished.

If anyone is interested I have an Apple Watch series 3 Hermes edition for sale 42mm gps+cellular. Barely used. Come with box and all accessories includes unworn exclusive Hermes orange band. Only selling it to purchase series 4. Bought December 2017.

Hermès carries the branding. And the quality of the band. That’s really what you’re purchasing. Apple still partnered with Hermes simply because it still a fashion item, but by no means is that going to be anything specific to the core demographic who wants the Apple Watch.

You can sell your Hermes Apple Watch under the market place forum, for other potential buyers to see that.

I have one from Juxli. It’s nice, but in person you would not mistake it for actual hermes. It looks and feels different.

I got hooked this year S4 by the two-color Hermes face & doubletour band in Bordeaux/Rose.

Was planning to treat myself with an S4 ceramic, case now unavailable, so the Hermes serves.

Ordered S4 Hermes; however, the dt 160mm band may not fit. If I like face as much as think, will return for single tour band option.

My next purchases are either the second or third links.

I messaged AdrianDesignStudio to check his closest closest colour to etoupe (thinking it's driftwood) and seeing if he'll be doing the new multicolour straps. Would consider putting in an order for a few straps in one go if I get convinced by the quality.

Took a while to find sellers that do similar bands with the same type of hardware Hermès use.

Did you get a reply from Adrian? I received my band today and it's beautiful.

Oh! Congrats, that was quick! Will keep an eye on the accessories forum in case you up some pics there :)

Adrian did reply the next day but he didn't seem to understand what I was talking about, even though i did include a link to the exact dual coloured Hermes strap on the Apple site!

Found that a bit disconcerting so just left it at that. There's pics from a taobao seller up on the accessories forum now of the dual coloured Hermes replica. Boardiesboi posted them up. Going to go for that now instead. Will be a while to get my hands on them no doubt. My 40mm hasn't even arrived yet :D

Took only a week from California to London.

Yeah, he seems a bit all over the place, must be getting quite a few orders and not sleeping much!

Will indeed post some pictures when I have time... :)

Edit: Found a bit of time, so took some quick pictures...

• Super nice leather band
• Hermes orange sport band (M/L only)
• The best analogue watch faces for the Apple Watch
• 2 years of warranty (vs. 1 year for regular AW)

Is that worth the price difference to an otherwise identical SS AW? That‘s up to you to decide.

The smaller Hermes orange came with the 140-160mm band in my box.
