J jessearl macrumors member Original poster Mar 16, 2005 #1 I have a PB G4 1.5Ghz with 1.25 RAM. But, why does it seem like it takes forever for .jpeg preview icons to load? My previous computer was a 1Gig Toshiba laptop and they were almost instant with that computer. Is this due to something with the Mac OS?

Jigglelicious macrumors 6502 Mar 16, 2005 #2 Yeah, OSX is pretty slow in that regard, and it doesn't create a thumbnail cache file like windows does, so the next time you open the folder after a restart, it has to reload them all again.
