Why do people buy TV shows when there free on network sites?

once you watch tv without commercials, there's no going back. i always watch my favorite shows once they are recorded on the dvr.

How many people watch TV every day?

Other then kids maybe and they don't care what's on.

I don't buy them, I have an EyeTV. And since getting one I've seen absolutely no point in ever paying for a TV show off iTunes.
I get the free ones since they're usually shows I don't watch and might be interesting at some point.
