Are just some of them (wikipedia has a whole list) And of course aqua like you mentioned there are a lot that are not well known all around europe but the above ones are.


And to the O.P I gotta disagree, i don't think it is possible to say one country creates the best music as it boils down to preference and genre.

I never really thought about it that much but yeah, the "pop" music in my iTunes library is dominated by British bands, singers and composers.

But I'm also a huge fan of Motown and game music, which is composed everywhere.

Surely we lose points for inventing the likes of Miss Dynamite, garage music and Busted?

There is a lot of crap in the UK just like any other country. I think some of it is just luck of the draw as to what you hear from a particular country and whether you like it or not.

I am against comparing, but every time I discover a great new band... Surprise it's from Canada.

Canadian Music, purely because of their House bands.

Back in the '60s and '70s, when I was more "active" in the clubs, you would be hard pressed to find a bad band in ANY club in Toronto. They just didn't exist, if they didn't cut it.
