Just wondered as I see alot of owned phones in signatures etc, I've never had two phones at the same time. Do you have two sims or use the same sim card in both and keep swapping etc, or do you not have a sim in the other, or just keep the other around in case something happens to your main phone?

I had gotten the SE 2020 for Touch ID when masks were needed everywhere, but then I went back to my 13PM after because the SE screen was too small. Now that I switched my main to Z Flip 4. I use the SE at home on Wifi for Apple things like managing Apple Card easier.

I have three phones; personal, work, and one for emergency backup.

A lot of the signatures you see are people listing what they have bought and not necessarily items used on a daily basis for their intended purpose.
Yea don't think I'd absolutely remember what I bought before 8+. Sometimes I'd get the next model, but sometimes I would wait.

I currently own a 6S, SE1, 8 and 13. I had a 12 Mini but sold it because it was still worth a lot. The older phones I have in my collection are spares and are not worth selling anymore due to their lack of value. All my phones are in pristine A1 condition otherwise they may not be worth holding onto.

I can give you some 'justifications,' but basically it works out to "Because I want to". I don't need justifications to get things I want, I just need money or to wait long enough for stuff to devalue far enough I can get it.

I do have an active SIM in my 6s+ though. I take the 6s+ on walks in the morning and I use it whenever I feel that my 11 Pro Max (my current primary phone) might be damaged somehow. As much as I like my 6s+, I'd much rather it take the hit than my 11 Pro Max.

Only reason I have two is because of a free line that was added to my account for free so I pay nothing for it as the phone is long payed off. Plus I need Android in my life as iOS gets boring and I need my sanity back from time to time.
my iPhone is really fgreat,
I use that for photo and then can play music and i'm get. t. t in. g

14 Pro Max - Personal
14 Pro - Work

2 phones for multiple reasons. I own a small business. I could have gone the dual e-sim route with one phone, but wanted to be able to separate work from personal completely. Also, my personal line has been my personal line since I was 16, and I get a TON of spam calls. This allowed me to turn on the "silence unknown callers" function on my personal line without fear of missing an important work-related call from an unknown number.

And selfishly, I'm an Apple addict and fully admit that I like having both sizes of phone. Pro Max for the couch and most of regular life, regular Pro when in bed.

My wife is a teacher and so she uses two phones for much the same reason as you - keeping work and personal separate. She isn't comfortable with parents having her personal phone number, or with work-related email cluttering up her personal InBox.

I have LOTS of phones, but I only use one.
My iPhone is my daily driver.
Yet I also have a Lumia 1020, 3310 3G, 8110 4G (all yellow of course), 8210 4G, a full set of Nokia communicators and a few other old Nokia’s that I had a hand in testing back when I worked for them

I have three phones:

1) iPhone SE3 - Work phone which is kept separate for all my work type stuff
2) iPhone 13 Pro Max - Former daily driver, now my iMessage phone - no SIM.
3) Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 - Current Daily driver - switched as most users in our country are on Android, so thought it would be prudent to daily drive a galaxy to determine where we could improve our app experience. Immediately found some issues that slipped through QA!

One interesting thing I have noticed from this experiment - if you are a low user (less than an hour a day) of an iPhone Pro Max... I'm astounded by how long it lasts - haven't charged it since last Friday at 7am and its still going (about 6% remaining! - that's almost 7 days!)

I have 4 SIMs, two on each phone on my signature.

Right now, my iPhone 11 Pro is my daily driver personal phone, and my Galaxy S21 is my work phone. I carry both all the time.

Having both iOS and Android allows me to enjoy the best of both worlds. Nobody tells me that I can only have 1 SIM, or that I can only use 1 platform. 😊

Yeah, iPhones have crazy standby times. Even my old 7+, which had mediocre battery life when being used, could last for days on standby.

Because you never know if you will need to have a backup phone if your main phone gets broken and you need to have a older iPhone that do what your main phone can do until you get it fixed 😂
That was the case for me in May last year. I was out my 11 Pro Max for a week until Apple got me a replacement. So, my 6s+ went back to being my primary phone for that week. I have the same apps on both phones, same Apple ID, email, etc - so it was pretty seamless. The only difference was my wife had to learn to call the number of the SIM that's in my 6s+ and not my normal phone number. :D

My job doesn't have a bring your own device policy anymore, so if I want a work number and all the managed mobile apps (email, Sharepoint, power bi, etc) then I need to use their phone.

14 Pro for personal
12 Max for work
11 for a spare for myself/family. My wife has had her phone stolen before, and it's a challenge if it happens after hours/weekends.

I have 3 phones personal, work , and Side girlfriend didn’t plan it that way but that’s what’s happening

I have multiple phones because I simply don't want to give them away/throw them away. I have both a 1st and 2nd generation iPhone SE, as well as an iPhone 13.

Do I use the other two phones? Nope.

Could I give them to Apple for recycling? Yes.

Do I? Nope.

Why?

... 🤷🏾‍♂️
