Why do you have to sign out of your Apple ID then sign back in to see your Apple Store credit refund

This is so strange.

Whatever though.


Just a little more details this is Apple Store credit like from a iTunes card.

I used some of it by buying a app but the app didn't do what it was said to do so I got a refund.
