Whatever you want to think, the sales are low it's not my own business to care for that, but dated design? Nope. Still one of the best looking smartphones out there, even better than the X.

Bezels and a chin are dated in 2018.
Sony and HTC are the only other oems that have a chin and forehead.

If it was one of the best looking smartphones sales would not have fallen so drastically.

Android definitely has more features, on paper, but it’s defjnitely less usable than iOS and completely lacks integration with other Apple products.
That's expected since Android is an open source OS and has nothing to do with Apple, unlike Apple which has their own ecosystem.

No point in keep arguing since for you only design counts for sales, shows much about what you value a device for.

I think you will find plenty evidence of such claims in other threads going back some time. Still, don't try to deflect away from some of the ridiculous things you have been writing today.

Sure ;).

I’m not the one that doesn’t know the difference between a 4K recording and a 4k display. :).

But do continue, This is amusing.

Not much point arguing because you don’t have one to argue.

Dated design, poor sales.
Maybe the s10 will have a redesign, maybe it won’t.

Note9 - dated design? More like timeless elegant design

IPX is just bad design with cut out notch, off-centre camera bump and gap between screen and rim that feels rough to hold

The Note 9 is definitely a last year design now. Big top bezel with wasted space instead of giving screen space on either side of the speaker/camera, and large bottom bezel instead of pushing the screen right to the bottom.

The iPhone X looks like a next generation design next to the Note 9.

Sure timeless and elegant until the s10 gets rid of the dated forehead and chin.
Dated is dated. And 4 years in tech is beyond dated.

Sure except iPhone X with “bad design” and “notch” continue to outsell premium galaxy phones without the fire-sale discounts ;).

Or a free tv

You envy much? Because you got suckered by apple to pay huge extra money for that shiny logo :p

Given the choice between “pay huge extra money” to Samsung for a note 9 or “pay huge extra money” to Apple for a iPhone X plus....Tough choice...not really. :)

Samsung had the bezel free design for iteration after iteration....until iphone copied it last year. I'm sure until last year you believed the chin and forehead gave the iphone tremendous character.

Definitely not. Samsung has had beautiful hardware for a number of generations. It’s just... Android... yuck.

don’t think a phone with forehead and chin can be called bezel free.

Didn’t know Samsung had a notch which the iPhone copied, also didn’t realize Samsung got rid of the chin on its smartphone models. Yeah Apple defiantly copied the the curved display and the stylus with the iPhone X. /s

That’s just hilarious, iPhone X copied Samsung Galaxy. Thanks for the laugh.

I'm sure until last year you believed the chin and forehead gave the iphone tremendous character.

I’m sure you still believe it, until Samsung gets rid of it next year.

Edge to edge yes they certainly did copy. Along with oled, high pixel displays, and fast charging among other things. They didn't have a chin and forehead like this for a while.

I’ll be buying a phone that looks exactly like that and keeping it for 2 years. I like that design like millions of others that buy it. I also don’t care who copies who as long as I get a good device out of it.

I think your confused.

Apples edge to edge display go from corner to corner every corner.

Samsung’s doesn’t and they actually increased the size of their side bezels in addition to the chin and forehead.

Oled;
It’s a technology neither Samsung or Apple own, they both pay a licensing fee to the company that does own it.

Fast charging:
I have had fast charging since the iPhone 5 or 5s you just had to use an iPad powerbrick.

It's not slight. I owned both platforms. I sold the 6 plus because it was too huge for the screen it had. Something like the s8 plus has almost the same physical dimensions but a much bigger screen.

No. It's you.

"The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus design from 2014 has been largely unchanged for three generations now. The similar-looking 2017 iPhone 8 models still have that mediocre screen-to-body ratio of under 70 percent. Since 2015, Samsung phones started to push the boundaries of how much screen the front of a phone can occupy with its Galaxy Edge lineup. We also saw China-based Xiaomi dabble with a nearly all-screen display with Mi Mix in 2016."

I don’t think anybody would be stupid enough to claim Apple lead in terms of introducing hardware features to the market to be honest. They tend to observe companies like Samsung and often implement a slightly different approach which can often be better received.

At a consumer level all we need to care about is whether they are delivering a good standard of product and Apple and the top Android OEM’s are. Let’s not forget the global smartphone market has shrunk considerably since 2015 and the top manufacturers are struggling to comprise anything particularly groundbreaking. People are keeping their devices longer and whether you think an iPhone 8 looks old or not is subjective. It’s still a popular choice.

It does indeed.
The new iPhones x plus just leaked.

You're wasting your time arguing with him, it's been none stop all day, real adolescent stuff. Not to worry, term time starts back next week.

His other favourite obsession is Geekbench scores.
