This really confused me until I figured out what was up… I thought DND was staying on after I turned it off!
1. DND is on; the moon icon is surrounded by a white box:
2. Tap or 3D Touch the icon; you can turn off DND from here.
3. Now you see this (moon not surrounded by white box):
You can still interact with that “empty” moon icon, and re-enable DND from the lockscreen if you want. It stays there until you unlock the phone. But why? It must have confused others, like it confused me…
