Why does Affinity Photo 3 crash when I try to open it in Tahoe 26.2?

Works for me. Could it be a licensing issue? Version 3 has the slightly annoying 'checking license' window pop up for a second or so before letting me in. Are you getting that far?
It always checks for the Canva account, so its there, just will not open wo crashing. Do you know if AP2 can be installed at same time? 2 works great.

Id' search for Affinity 3 not Affinity Photo 3 as it will likely bring up Affinity Photo 1 & 2 as Affinity Photo etc are now all encompassed into 'Affinity 3' so adding 'photo' in a search will likely bring up older stuff.
As for forums I have found https://creofora.com/ but only briefly visited it and not sure what its like.
For the crashing have you tried a reinstall? Maybe an update broke something.

There is no such thing as "Affinity Photo 3" so there aren't any such forums. The new v3 is just "Affinity", or "Affinity by Canva". The individual terms "Photo", "Designer", and "Publisher" are no longer used in the new Affinity v3 app.

Yes you can run either Affinity Photo 1 or 2 with Affinity 3 installed. That is assuming they are installed as you can no longer buy them. I am still using 1 with Sequoia. Gave up on 3 as I need it to work in multiple profiles and having to log in every time you sneeze is a real irritant.
FWIW I do most of my Photo work on my old MacPro either in Sienna or all the way back in OS X 10.6. When I find myself needing to do something on the Sequoia computer, I either use Preview or Pixelmator Pro. Bit of a learning curve on the latter but I prefer it to Affinity. It is a straight forward purchase and the price is not obscene.

BTW I just ran the 3.0.3 update. Thought there was a problem, but there was a box that had to be checked when you do the log in and I missed it, so when I tried to open the app it sent me back to the log in. Endless loop until I finally figured it out on what was I believe the fourth try.

I believe Canva are running a Discord as an official replacement for the forum. Never used Discord so not too sure what that's like.
Surely that will work. Heck, I'm running AP/AD 1 just fine on Tahoe.
And Affinity 3.2.0 released a few days ago... hope it fixed that Tahoe crash.

Looks like about 1 update per month, which has me dealing with that log in crap anytime I'm tempted to use the program. If you just need the photo part of the app, you might want to go with Pixelmator Pro, one time reasonable fee and none of the nonsense. If you're using all three it may be worth it, that of course is your call.
