Why does Apple Mail shows multiple font sizes in iOS 10.1.1?

I subscribe to a web list. I receive messages from the list in various size fonts, some very tiny on my iPad Air screen. I looked in Settings/Mail and found no way to force standard font sizes. Did I miss the checkbox?

Anyone know how to receive standard size fonts in iOS Apple Mail?

How do I tell Apple Mail to view Mail in a default font?

You might go into your account on the mailing list website itself and see if you can check an option so it strips out the formatting from messages. I've always seen those options in the subscription options themselves whether it be newsletters, mailing lists, or general communication.

There are no settings in Mail otherwise.
