Hello, does somebody know why AppleCare++ begins several days before the iPhone X is even delivered ?

I ordered my X on 27 October. It was shipped on 10 November and delivered on 13 November. My account shows the purchase date as 10 November (which is the date I was billed for the phone), and that is presumably the date my AppleCare+ is effective from. Annoying but I'm not going to sweat it over 3 days.

If it bothers you, call them up and have it adjusted to the delivery date. They will do that, as it's supposed to be the date that you first activate the phone (which is almost always the same day you receive it).

You should always keep your receipts/tracking information for that purpose.

The purchase date is really just a placeholder.

Yep. And they give you 60 days to buy it, but it still goes by the purchase date even if you buy it day 58.
Because it's considered extended warranty in at least the portion that lengthens your manufacturer's warranty to two years. The other portion (damage) is the insurance policy piece.

But, getting back to the OP's question - the purchase date is just a placeholder until you receive the product - then the start date should be adjusted to when you actually received the product.

Came to post the same.

Nobody read the email...

"Your Coverage End Date will automatically adjust to two years from the date you first activate your iPhone."

oh .... you are right, I should take an evening class in reading!
