I have bought 5 G4s (4 were eMacs), and EVERY ONE had garageband deleted, im on the verge of frustration as that is my absolute part of iLife! I cannot afford a disk of iLife '06, and dont want to pirate it, any ideas?

sorry if i sound like an idiot

Many folks don't need it and deleting the application and it support files saves gigabytes of space. If memory serves me eMacs didn't have the most robust hard drives so recouping a few gigabytes does go a long way.

So, iLife shipped with those computers, and since you own the computers, technically you already own iLife, so I were you, I would not feel the least bit guilty if I were to get a copy of iLife from a friend and install it.

I'm assuming you did not get the original install disks when you bought these computers?

No, all i got were the power cords and a 17" Apple Studio Display (CRT).(the latter with the Gig-E G4)
