Many folks don't need it and deleting the application and it support files saves gigabytes of space. If memory serves me eMacs didn't have the most robust hard drives so recouping a few gigabytes does go a long way.

I don't use it and it takes up a lot of space....so I delete it.

So, iLife shipped with those computers, and since you own the computers, technically you already own iLife, so I were you, I would not feel the least bit guilty if I were to get a copy of iLife from a friend and install it.

I'm assuming you did not get the original install disks when you bought these computers?

The only part of iLife that I have ever used is iPhoto and that is only to sync photos to my iPhone. All the other apps are worthless to me.

If you have one half of iLife, downloading and installing it again, only checking GarageBand should work.

Five G4 owners != everyone. They obviously didn't need it.
