Why does Growl keep re adding applications

I keep deleting certain applications like yahoo messanger and skype from growl but it keeps adding them again, why is this and how can i stop it?

Instead of removing them, uncheck the Enabled checkbox.

Growl isn't adding them, the applications are adding themselves. There may be a preference you can use to turn it off, but you may just need to do as Intell suggested.
