Is it because my battery is at 50% and the power used to power the USB bus is being used to charge the ipad?

Its taking like an hour + to backup my ipad.

first back ups are always the worst, because it backs up everything, later it just back ups the new files so there way shorter, unless your changing a mess of things like 26 episodes every time you sync.

Also, the charging is pretty minor so I doubt it is hindering your back up.

Isn't my first backup.....I usually backup every 3 days.

Reminds me of the 2G iPhones

Wow you must be backing up a lot of info. Mine takes a minute max to back up. And that was only when I hadn't done so for a few days.

Seems like we have a regression of an old iPhone bug. Hope it will be fixed soon.

Wait. Does it take forever or just an hour? If an hour is forever in your world, you may be suffering time dilatation disease. Quick, (if that's possible) see a quantum physicist! :D

The problem is most likely due to one or more apps slowing down the backup. As I added more apps my backup got longer. Now it takes an hour.
