I don't have a particularly large music library, but what I have, I have purchased through iTunes (or uploaded from a CD years ago).
I am on iOS11 and iTunes 12.7. I just purchased a new album, added it to a playlist and then synced my phone. Not only did not all of the newest songs DL to my phone (while connected to my iMac with a cord), but it also deleted already downloaded songs from my phone! I only use my computer to manage songs and playlists. I create/purchase whatever I want from a computer, and then sync to my phone. But it NEVER syncs.
I do not use or subscribe to Apple Music (and never have), and I have that feature turned off on the phone. Why does Apple start putting songs in the cloud without me asking? How can I stop that from happening? And why when I sync my playlist from my computer that says I have 312 songs on it refuse to add in extras, even though it says Synced....My phone playlist shows only 297 songs. I know what songs are missing, but they won't transfer through a sync....
Syncing also duplicates playlists on both sides, even though I've only made changes on the computer side and there is nothing to add from the phone to the computer.
I will also say that I have automatic downloads for Music already enabled on my phone. On the iTunes sync screen on my computer, it is checked for All Music to sync.
I can't even figure out a way on my phone to find ALL music they've thrown to the cloud so that I can redownload it to my phone. I am so frustrated!
