Why does iTunes do this?

    Its a really annoying 'feature'. :mad:

    When ever you have any dialogue window open in iTunes, be it the ipod firmware restoration screen in my case (I bricked my touch, so I'm restoring it, got the solution here on MacRumors, so thanx :cool: ) or just the file info screen, it will pop back to iTunes after 10-15 seconds, regardless of what else you're doing.

    Does this do the same thing with the Mac version of iTunes?

    No.

    iTunes on Windows is a pig.
    I would advise using alternative software like MediaMonkey or Winamp (with the iPod plugin).

    I have a computer that can handle itunes' porcine ways (And play games like WoW and Star Trek online too), and I only use itunes because I use it to put apps on it, as well as the 20 or so pod casts I subscribe too.
