Why does iTunes separate albums like this?

I import like 3 songs from an album and it shows them as two separate albums in coverflow view and on the iPod. Why does it do this? BTW i checked for invisible spaces after artist and album names.

in iTunes highlight the three songs>right click>get info>set all to the exact same artist, album, etc. That should fix it.

The artist is the same, and the album is the same, but it makes two separate covers. The first song from the album is on the left and the rest are on the right

No, the data is not the same.

highlight all the songs and change their album artist info, making it so they all have the same album artist.

It's cool. I only knew the answer to that because I had been stuck with that problem before.

I had the exact same problem and it was killing me. All the songs were in the same place in finder and everything, but it always duplicated the first song.

it's weird that copy-paste works and just typing it exactly doesn't.

I find that it happens more when the artist and the album name are the same. coincidence?
