Is this a known issue? I can have an email thread/discussion ongoing for months but every time I get a new reply, I'm taking way back to the beginning or near the beginning as messages I've read have been marked as unread. For every email discussion I have, I need to scroll to the top to see the latest response. It gets aggravating when you spend as much time on email every day as I do. Is there something I'm missing? I can go through and mark every message READ, but with the next response, they're all UNREAD again...

Why does Mac Mail keep marking messages within a thread as UNREAD?

Honestly? iCloud and Apple sucks with the cloud. Embarrassingly, iCloud is a joke compared to Google.
Should be an option to show the latest message on top. Additionally, you mark all messages as read when you open up an email. Not sure if that helps…
Yes, I've been feeling the same way. Mac Mail isn't really that great...
I do have Mail setup to display the most recent messages on top, and that does work, but the screen automatically scrolls me way, way, WAY down to the first message it DECIDES to mark as unread - after I've marked every message read individually...
