Why does my avatar look different in my CP?

I recently made a custom avatar and after uploading it and setting it as my avatar i've noticed that it looks different than what actually shows up when I post. Specifically the text at the bottom ... Anyone know why?

How recently did you make the change? If only within the last hour or so, give the servers time to update.

I did it this morning ... but maybe things are a little overloaded today due to 3.0. I'll be a little more patient.
