Why does my boot up (the gray apple logo screen) take longer than before?

On a fresh install of SL, the gray screen w/ the apple logo didn't stay on for too long. but after transferring some music and pictures over (40gb), the whole computer seems to take longer to boot up. my HD isnt close to filling up (not even halfway) so what could be lagging it? could it also be the fact that i partitioned 15gb for windows too?

Try deleting the Cache folder from username/Libary and restart.

Not trying to take over this thread but a funny thing Onyx 2.05 works on my Mac pro with Snow Leopard 10.6.1 but wont work on my wife's new Macbook Pro 10.6.1.

    I have no idea why....
