Why does my iPT launch the app store so often?

There is a decent list of when this has happened, but i haven't been writing them down.

Yesterday, launched a game - and while waiting for it to open, all of a sudden the App Store launched. I know we hadn't pushed a button when it happened, but the app does have a link to other games they sell on the page while it's launching.

While in a app occasionally it has happened - but it seeks out a totally unrelated app, so i know it's not from clicking something in that app.

I've clicked on links in threads on MR, and its gone to open the thread in a new window, then switched to the App Store. Which i could see if it was a link to an app - but when i go back to safari, the page it started to open is there and i refresh it and get the original intent (often a link to another thread here).

I'll have to start tracking it more - but does anyone else get randomly teleported to the app store?

I'm only 2 weeks or so into ownership of my 8gb refurb, still running 2.2.1., and it's had to go to the Apple Store for a complete restore (he probably did a DFU on it, but i wasn't home to try it myself). It quit accepting input - it beeped, the squares lit up when trying to unlock it, but nothing happened.

I just don't know if this is "normal" or if i'm seeing issues related to the person that returned it to Apple.

Oh a ghost would be cool! LOL!!

So like zap it back to nothing and start over? But if i'ts an app causing it then a restore is going to create the same problem?

I have to reset the network settings to factory once a day at least to stay on the WIFI (and i'm running 2.2.1).

I'll have to call and log a ticket on that i guess - but not until wednesday... i think that is my first free day.
