Just noticed that the name of my Mini has got the number '2' in brackets after it's usual name?

For example; what used to be 'Joe's mac mini' is now 'Joe's mac mini (2)'

Where did that come from, why, and how do I get rid of it?

Thanks.

Solved:

It''s been automatically renamed because the OS thinks the original name was already in use. Open Sharing preferences and delete the unwanted addition.

Yes, this seemed to be a bug in Yosemite in the early releases. Mine has been fine for the last 4-6 months.
