Why does quality of iphone video upload to facebook drop?

    Anyway I can upload video from my iphone 4s straight to facebook without losing any of the quality? Seems it always loses quality?

    I doubt Bookface want 1080p video breaking their site.

    You'll find the video will be compressed before the upload, so the quality will be slightly worse

    Doesn't youtube have its own compression...?

    Over 3G it does. If you upload to Youtube over Wifi it stays HD.

    Well, I can't say for sure it doesn't compress it somewhat, but it does stay HD and still looks good. From the phone, Youtube from Wifi is probably your best bet, even if it does compress it somewhat.

    Phone compression then site compression, save it on your computer before you upload for the best quality.

    in the settings for Facebook on your phone, i believe theres a setting for "Record HD video". That might be able to help you out.

    Well, certainly things of this nature would usually change in more than 3 years.
