Isn't there a site you can use to check dead pixels? I forgot the name of it but I remember it being a link. Thanks!

I used something called "pixelmurder" when my macbook had a few stuck pixels. It sort of worked. Maybe. I wonder if this is what you're referring to.
 
I remember people were complaining about the black levels and something about the jay z black album cover was a way to tell. I think it was an iPhone 3G problem. I def forget the website link. Ugh.

Searching "How to check for dead pixels on iPad" yields many search results for checking at different color levels for dead pixels.
 
I was playing with my friend's iPad today and noticed the screen felt hollow when typing. I really wish they would glue the glass onto the LCD like on the iPhone. It probably would be structurally worse because of that though.
