Why does Siri sound depressed in Maps navigation?

I tried navigation in Beta 2 last night and Siri sounds depressed 🙁 She talks all slow and without much passion.

I had the male Siri selected and it changed to female midway through my trip home during navigation. Mid-trip gender change. 🙂 And yes, they both sounded depressed.

Maps almost made me miss a business meeting yesterday so i can understand she is depressed working for that ****.

She knows she's reading bad directions but can't do anything about it 😉

I think the on-paper theory was to make audible directions clear and concise for when you're attention is deviated from the directions to driving but in reality it's not any more beneficial and only sounds humorous and slow.
