Why does the iPhone 4 and S6 have a better Microphone than the iPhone 6?

I have never had anyone complain about my iPhone 6 being muffled so it could be that it is just yours.

If you're referring to the sound quality during phone calls, it could be the wireless band that you're on. If it sounds blurry on the LTE band, try switching to the 3G band. I've found that where I live, the LTE band is terrible for phone calls and everyone sounds like robots. I can't understand anyone and they can't understand me. I've noticed this happening in other areas too so I'm still mostly using 3G for voice reasons.
