Why does the printer magnify the page?

Please look at the image, below. Why does my printer tend to zoom on the pages I want to print? What appears to be a small thing on the screen turns out to take half the page.

How can I solve this and make more items/lines per page fit on one sheet?

From a Mac it's quite easy. Printing from an iPad or iPhone has no interface to tell it how you want it to print in my experience.
Others might no better.

In OS X when the print dialogue window opens up, you can choose your paper size and page layout on the different tab buttons.

Its set on A4 paper
