I use the mobile Youtube website. It allows for high quality videos, even over 3g and just seems to run better in general.

I'm glad not everyone has issues, but I've read about many people having the same experiences as me. Sometimes 60 second videos take minutes to load. Sometimes videos load and then completely stop altogether.

I've several issues with it - namely, what you're describing. Sometimes, videos just refuse to load past around the halfway mark, regardless of my connection. It's quite frustrating - I often go for the laptop when the YT app doesn't work, and whilst I'm bringing it to where I was using the iOS device, the video seems to load fine. Frustratingly bizarre.

Your signature makes me laugh.

I've had videos just suddenly stop loading on everything I've used. Including my desktop browser. At least part of the problem seems to be on Youtube's end.

PEOPLE!! Listeeeeennnn toooo meeeee. I am from the fuuuuuuutuuuuure. You have nooooothingggg to complain abouuuuut.:(

It suck sooo bad

They must have updated it so many times but it stil SUCKS UHC ass  .
when I first load the app, the first video works PERFECTLY. The second video then makes me want to kill myself #laggggggg. Then, my FULLY UPDATED ipad disconnects from the internet. Granted, I have an 11mbps download speed, but are you serious YouTube, it should be called PooTube. Moral of the story, go Virgin Media - more power, more power, more fire. Don't get BT 'infinity' or 'unlimited' because it is ****.

The question at hand is WHY the YouTube App sucks... And it's plain to see that it's done buy Google, on purpose for the sake of making everything difficult for Apple users. And it's not limited to just YouTube, it's Drive, it's Google Maps not being able to zoom, it's everything...

Google wants to be able to sit back and say "See that guys? Apple doesn't work! Please buy this android or ChromePad... No. Not even for $50? Anyone...?"

Because Google doesn't give a hoot and Apple certainly won't help. Apple's the one that removed YouTube app from iOS in the first place.

They removed it because their licensing agreement with Google expired.

What's crazy is that Google's OWN YouTube app won't play some videos (saying they're not available on this platform) yet a third party player (Jasmine) plays them fine.

They can't figure out their own damned API!

If a video doesn't play in the official app it's because the video's publisher (or copyright holder, if music is involved) has toggled a setting to disable mobile viewing. If other apps can show these videos, then they've somehow found a way to override this setting.

This was a video a friend of mine uploaded of his cat. He had absolutely no reason to restrict it and I doubt he did.
