Hello,

I’m just trying out Apple Music and wondering why on earth the app doesn’t remember the playback position of the current song or remember the last played song when you press pause and return to the app shortly after. It clears the current and upcoming songs. I’m constantly having to search and find the album I was playing and select the song I was up to.

Surely this isn’t expected behaviour. On Spotify it remembers the playback position even when you force quit the app and return months later. I want to like Apple Music but there are a few very annoying things like this that make the experience less pleasant.

I’m on an iPad Pro 9.7”

Thanks.

Strange. I’m on iPad mini 6 or iPhone 12 mini and both retain current playing, position in the now playing track, history and playlist when you go away and come back. And also if you close the app and reopen. I don’t recall having to set a setting for it to do this.
