Hello, this isn't a problem however I am very curious as to how/why.

Whenever I facetime or skype, the person on the other end does not hear any sound coming out of my speakers, no matter how loud I play music the other person can still hear me but not the music.

Why is this?!

I realise that the microphone is located in the left speaker, is it due to the microphone being below the speaker or something?

I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro by the way.

Thankyou

Well it sounds like the noise cancelling is working, but that sounds unrealistic that they cannot hear it on any volume.

So if you're speaking over the top of music, they can only hear your voice? Or is it just when the music is playing alone?

The microphone is located on the left of the Facetime camera.

Lol, it's about 3 cm above the escape button.

Dangerous Theory, I'll test it out again soon when my girlfriend is available
