Why don't the up and down arrows work when composing a message in Gmail?

Thanks for the update, but the problem was not that we didn't know what arrow keys are.

Rather, we're all still trying to figure out what the "desktop" of our iPhone is.

I'm not joking. Are you talking about Apple's Mac Mail program? Gmail in Safari? In Firefox? On an iPad with a keyboard on a desk? What does 'desktop' mean?

I just tried it in Firefox and it worked here. Are you talking about moving up and down within the message you've already typed? It worked the same in FF and Safari for me.

Yeah, not working for me. Strange. I'm talking about in the small "compose" window where u are typing your email.
