Why don't they at least propose this easy (partial) software fix ?

At least for data use, not calls :

Allow the iPhone to function upside down (thanks to the accelerometer), exactly as the iPad can...

Try death-gripping your naked iPhone holding it upside down, and look at the 3G reception and speed : it is extremely good that way !!!
The antennas are at the top, far from your hand, I'm sure it's even healthier that way...

I would be perfectly happy with the ability to use my iPhone upside down (for everything except calls of course) ;)

And it would benefit the iPhone 3G and 3GS as well...

    What do you think ?

If that's the case, then I don't see the "software fix" fixing much of anything, since people are complaining about CALLS.

    'Nuff said.

This would only fix internet on 3G. It wouldn't work for calls which is the main concern.

Because the phone doesn't need to be fixed. That's the point. Clear your head of the lies. I get 1.4 Mbps down with 1 bar.
