I've seen several threads asking about how to go down from 9.1 public beta to 9.0 public release on here. I've also seen several threads complaining about 9.0's lag, so here's my question:
Why go down to 9.0 from 9.1? What are the benefits or motivations?

    Thanks,
    Will

Some people have reported that apps like WhatsApp are malfunctioning for them in iOS 9.1 beta. iOS 9.1 also doesn't really bring any new features save for some extra emoji at the moment.

I guess it could also be due to beta fatigue, and desiring to go back to a more stable and bug-free user experience. iOS 9 GM has been very stable and smooth for me, and battery life has been excellent, so count me as one of the "lucky ones". I refuse to upgrade to 9.1 beta because of this.

the 9.0 that is available over the air right now is NOT the same build as iOS 9 GM. The build numbers are different.

With that being said its very smooth and fast and that is why I rolled back from iOS 9.1 Beta.

I had issues with the first versions of beta, but on last version with all of the newly updated apps, no issues to speak of on iPad Air 2.

...well, after the overwhelming silence, I can't say I see any reason to go through the hassle. Either folks don't know or don't care to respond. Either way, I havent found compelling motivation to change.

Beta to general release is my guess. I mean a similar argument can be made about going from 9.0 back to 8.

    My motivations were twofold:
    1. I never intended to be an indefinite beta tester when I signed up. I wanted to try out iOS 9 early, but I don't feel the need to have the 9.x updates any sooner than the general public so I'm happy to revert to the stable releases. My job is done, so to speak, since I'm not a developer or anything.
    2. I'm upgrading from the 6 to a 6s and restoring a new phone on 9.0 from a 9.1 backup would be problematic.

They're fooling themselves if they think that GM is "more stable" than iOS 9.1, even if the latter is a beta.

There are some apps which are not compatible with iOS 9.1, like WeChat. So people may need to downgrade to make sure what they have to use running fine.

And I think post like this is not useful. The others people are not fools as well. If they want to do something, they do have their reasons. Even if you don't know, you needn't prejudge them at the very beginning.
