Why has my apple watch stopped displaying contacts in text message notifications?

When I get a text message now, it just shows the phone number and not the contact info. Is there any way to fix this?

Same here, no idea why. Started with WatchOS 2. Did it all through the beta and again on the the latest update!

This isn't just a watch problem, its doing it on my iPad and macbook too. I have all the iCloud stuff synced and on my iPad it shows the phone number but the iPhone shows the name. Cant figure it out.

Try "Resync Data" from the Watch app under General --> Reset.
