Why have there been so many locked/deleted threads in SFF lately? Will SFF go the way of PRSI?

I just wanted to take a moment to ask why so many threads have been locked/deleted in SFF lately. That certainly isn’t normal and I don’t remember it happening before. As of this morning, there are twelve locked threads on the first page of SFF (not including deleted threads). The second page of SFF tells a much different story. As the title says, will SFF go the way of PRSI?

Because those threads are either answered or have slid off topic or are made to cause trouble.
