Hello everyone.

I took many photos when the Location Services in my iPhone 11 was turned on and now i want to delete my location history from People & Places folder in the Photos App but it won’t work.

There is no option. I mean, when i want to delete it, it asks me if i want to delete the photos i took. But i don’t want to delete the photos but just the info about where the photos were taken.

How sad there is no option like that in iPhones (iOS 13.6.1).

Or am i missing something? Is there a way to delete the location history from People & Places folder without losing the photos?

Thank you.

If the location option was turned on when you took the photos, you cannot erase the information using any iPhone or iPad option. You will need to find a app that will remove the embedded information from each photo.

Any suggestions for an App that i can download from App Store and then try?

If you send the photo through email or message to yourself, there's a button at the top of the share screen that says "options" and you can scrub the location there.

Here's an app that lets you easily remove location meta data. And if you wanted to ... you can spoof any location you want. Take a picture in Detroit and it can show the location as Hawaii (if you're so inclined)

Out of curiosity, why would you want to destroy your data?
After my death, i don't want anyone to be able to see where i wasted my whole life, because...

And remember what Alice said when she entered to the Wonderland:

Curiouser and curiouser!

That makes sense.

Thank you for your answer.

Thanks for taking the time. After my death I don’t think I’ll mind. :)
