Why I got an iPhone 5S instead of 6S

i really like the design of the 5S. I want to use my phone less and the features of the 6S will get me even more lost into my phone. I want to use the 5S before its obsolete such a beautiful phone. I'll probably crack and buy the 6S in a few months lol.

I'll just say that if the 5s is a beautiful phone, the iPhone 5, which actually has a Black/Slate version and not Space Gray is more beautiful.

I know because I have one. And I avoided getting the 5s because it doesn't come in black.

Although I do have a 6+ now - in Space Gray (boooo, hiss!!!!)

I keep my 5s in a black leather case, so it's all black (very stealthy) and soft to the touch.

I may have a hard time letting go when my 6s arrives tomorrow.
 
I liked the smaller form factor of the 5 and 5s. I also really liked the slate color of the 5 (wish they'd bring that back!). But I do love my iPhone 6 very much and I'm sure my wife will eventually love her 6s (she has small hands and likes the smaller phones).

I can see where you're coming from, but progress is a good thing in this situation (and most tech-related situations)
 
I still claim the 5S in space gray is the best iPhone as far as design. That's why I have kept it (without a sim) as a camera and secondary device. The 6 and ultimately 6s are "better" but the 5S design was just great. The 4's aren't bad either. I think the 6's and 3g's have been the dogs as far as design.

My iPhone 5 manages that look without a case. ;)

I'm not putting you down, I'm just vocalizing my preference is all.

We don't sell our phones, so my 5 is still working flawlessly. Jailbroken on iOS 8.3 it sits connected to my PowerMac G4 Quicksilver, ready to be used as a camera or media device at any time.

Or passed along to someone who needs a phone.

I really like my iPhone 6 space grey in terms of design. The iPhone 4 was my favourite though.

dude get both. And just swap the sim card.

i own a 5s and a 6+. Takes 10 seconds to swap card.
 
Just too bad there's no 64GB version available new in box anymore. I'm hanging onto my good ol' 64GB 5S as a backup phone even after getting a 6 Plus.

As a matter of fact, after I get my 6S Plus, I think I'm going to sell my 6 Plus and go all S-series.

Don't knock the 5S. Great little phone still.

The 5S is the best iPhone design by far.

I still wouldn't buy one at this point though...
 
Heh. I went looking to see if there was a thread for people still clinging to the 4" form factor. (sorry, I still think both of the larger phones are too big). If I want a tablet, I'll use one. :)

Everyone repeat after me - iPhone 6s+ = iPhad (phonetic pun intended) :)

Guessing everyone has pants and shirts with pockets big enough for grocery shopping? :)

Didn't see anything mind-blowing with these latest releases, so I'll stick with the 5s for another year. Maybe they'll give those of us that don't need the real estate a 7C by then.
