My 2015 was recently became a deadMac so I was faced with needing a new MBP.

Apple financed a million dollars to pay for Trump's inauguration. This week Tim Cook attended a dinner with Trump at the White House and gave him a solid gold souvenir (FFS, matches the Mar-a-Logo/White House gilded decor). [Incidentally, that 24K souvenir was bought with our money.]

I realised I could not in good conscience give my money to a trillion-dollar corporation which supports a dictator bent on destroying not only my Canada but everywhere. (Except, you know, sh#thole countries.).

The 2015 was the last MBP to have useful ports. I don't use syncing or iCloud or Mail or iMessage or all the other BS that Apple says I need. I don't need faster, slimmer, lighter. I just need a realMac.

I like Safari but mostly I use third-party apps usually from dubious sources. (PM me for those sources!) No reason to make Bill Gates or Adobe [Blackrock, Vanguard] any richer. I'm an old hippie: Eat the rich.

Meanwhile I'll scavenge my deadMac for parts. Here in Thailand, everything is replaceable at reasonable cost, even if it's soldered to the motherboard.

If you're going to talk the talk, you need to walk the walk. You don't need artificial intelligence for that, just common sense will do.

Admit it: it's a nuthouse down there. So grab him by the...nuts.
