iPod touch Why I like my iPod Touch 4G more than my 5G

4G
Processor- Apple A4 (as seen in iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4)

The 3GS did not have an A4.

Highest supported iOS version (theoretical)- iOS 6 (2012)

The 4th-gen Touch will absolutely qualify for at least iOS 7 because it is a device that is still being manufactured and sold. Apple does not chop off software support before they EOL a certain model; see the iPhone 3GS.

5G
iPhone similar to- iPhone 4S (2011)

That's a hard one. I can see why you compare it to the 4S: because of the CPU. But it also has the same tall screen as the iPhone 5, which is definitely a differentiating factor. I'd have to call it a hybrid between the 4S and the 5.

• It has a processor that's not total ass.
• It has twice as much RAM and therefore not total ass.
• It has a non-polished back that won't get scratched so easily and look like total ass.
• I have somewhat large hands, so the fourth gen's size is too small and thus total ass.

I am glad I replaced my 4G with the 5G touch as the sound is simply better. It also has more volume as I was having to run my 4G at full volume when the 5G is a couple of clicks below. Do not like that it is thinner but the screen is far superior.

The person who got my 4G is a very happy camper!

I still use my 4th generation iPod Touch. It sits on my bedside table on the dock. It's primary function is an alarm clock, but i have the yahoo weather app on 24/7.

I will continue to use it until it decides to power off for good.
