Breathe.
Get up and move around.
You still need to go for a 22 minute walk today.

Your mother sent you a WhatsApp message. You can view it on your iPhone.

Your wife sent you a picture. You can view it on your iPhone.
Your wife sent you a link. You can open it on your iPhone.

Get up.

Are you washing your hands, by any chance?
Are you working out?
Well done, I just recorded thirty minutes of exercise. I know, you said no, but you have been moving your arms a lot while you’re driving your car and your heart rate’s up, so I decided to record it as exercise anyway.

’Send a message to my wife, tell her that I’ll be home somewhat later., I’m stuck in traffic.’
‘OK, sending a message to your wife: “Albion snowcone larder sucking tray.”’
‘No that’s not what I meant.’
Message could not be sent.
‘Retry. Tell her I’ll be home somewhat later.’
Message could not be sent.

Breathe.
Battery low.

I bought a series 3 in 2018 and upgraded to a series 6 last year, but I've fallen out of love with the Apple watch over the last couple of months. I tried to love you, Apple Watch, but it’s just not working out.

The constant tapping on my wrist, the constant notifications, the stream of little inaccuracies and errors while using the device, I found it harder and harder to deal with.

Has anyone else had the same experience?

Do you know that you can set up your Apple Watch to your taste?

Also don’t use Whatsapp, I use Telegram or iMessage with everyone and the experience is much much better. Whatsapp even in the iPhone, sucks.

That's not been my experience, no.
  • I turned off "breathe" - don't really need it.
  • I turned off hand washing - don't really need it.
  • My exercise has been pretty accurate, though most days I get it done before I go to work.
  • My heart rate never rises high enough when not actually exercising for it to think I am. You might want to get that checked out if you're routinely exceeding 100 bpm just by driving (or move someplace with far less traffic, lol).
  • Siri is reasonably good for me insofar as dictation accuracy, but I have a very neutral American non-accent and I tend to annunciate very well (as I use medical speech recognition at work literally all day long, so I speak quite carefully).
  • Only after two years is my S5 battery showing some fatigue, but still gets me though the day (put it on fully charged at 6:30am this morning; currently at 42% at 7:15pm).
  • I only have turned on time-sensitive notifications on my watch. Everything else I don't need.
  • I don't mind if I can't view a link my wife sends me on my watch -- my eyes aren't good enough to see it even if the watch were to render the webpage or something. Definitely going to pull my phone out for that.
  • I don't use WhatsApp, so I have no idea if they've optimized their notifications for the Apple Watch or not.

I've also turned off notifications I don't want. But the truth is even with the notifications I do have turned on, I don't notice them most of the time. Sometimes I feel a tap but am busy with something else so don't look, but there are many cases where I just don't even notice the taps. Does this happen to anyone else or am I just particularly not sensitive to the tapping?

Honestly, I would wear a mechanical watch if it wasn't for my profession. I do not have access to my iphone during work and being able to have a quick glance at my watch for notifications is invaluable.

Yes - I ignore them as well. I have messages and phone on notification, but if I am doing something else, I sometimes don't even notice it

I wonder how many people don't realize you can control watch notifications separately from phone notifications. One of my favorite things about the Watch is the fact that it gives you the ability to ensure that any notifications you receive are ones you want on your wrist.

same with most here, I turned off most of the notifications, don't use breathe, and don't use the handwashing. Also don't use siri coz by the time it does what I tell it to do, I could've done it on the phone much faster. Siri is not useful if internet is slow.

The one thing I love about the apple watch is that it makes me stand and walk around when I've been sitting all day in the office. Also, I like being able to record my exercises and reaching goals. That's about it. Oh, and being able to unlock my phone with mask on!

Well you can always turn off the notifications. But be careful with the Casio, it will take you down the slippery (costly) path of buying more and better watches. I started with the F91W as well. That habit occurred with me until I got the Apple Watch.

Casio F91W is an odd Watch to replace your Apple Watch with. So you just need a watch to tell you the date and time? If so then the Casio F91W is a great watch!

I have notifications personalized. Most are silent. Breathe app silent. Stand up silence. other messaging apps are silent
