1. Devices out there that track HR constantly barely qualify as a smart watches and qualify more as dedicated fitness trackers. Fitbit, Garmin etc.

2. Performance seems to be a common problem among smart watches right now and is not unique to the Apple watch. Apps that have to wait for data from a phone take a while to load. My Pebble prior even had this issue.

3. Expensive? The new Samsung Gear 2 is $349.99. The new Pebble Time is $250.00.

4. Yes, allowing 3rd party watch faces IS a new feature assuming you understand what a "feature" is.

You can stop pretending to be a tech blogger. They actually do research before they drop reviews.

Not really you can't tell me Microsoft band 1+2 are purely fitness trackers where you can add several apps etc. Hmm what about the Fitbit surge it shows calls and emails calendar etc.

Have you ever used an android wear device? It's speedy as hell well optimised. Why do you think Apple was in a rush to drop watchOS so fast after watch release? Performance issues still plague the watch just read the forums.

Of course it's expensive I'm from the uk the basic 38mm version costs £300 here. Pebble time is £130. Gear 2 costs £200-250 here. So hmm I guess it is the most expensive. Microsoft band 2 is £180.

So there's my research. And I'm not pretending to be anything. Nice assumption buddy.

Lastly I'm not hating the watch simply sharing my opinion just like I shared my opinion when I got and returned the iPhone 6plus but I raved about the 6s and how Apple is finally going in the right direction.

Ouch. You're right, £300 for the 38mm aluminum. VAT's £50, that's incredible. But then again, everything's expensive in the UK...

I just think Apple tried to do too much with a smart watch. Where they really thrive is notifications. If they focused on that with replies to messages people would have more realistic expectations. I think adding actual apps was a mistake.

I have been using a smart watch for around 3 years, so I knew what I was getting into. I use no apps outside of the stock ones

Look, why don't you come out with the truth and be done with it. If you had done your research like you claimed you have you would have known:

1. The Apple watch HR monitoring is not constant.
2. The Apple watch is only water resistant and not water proof.
3. The only other smart watch (hint: The FitBit Surge and MS Band 2 are not smart watches) that works with iOS is the Pebble and it doesn't even remotely come close to what the Apple watch can do.
4. If it was too expensive why did you buy it 2 times? How exactly was Watch 2.0 supposed to make it less expensive?

The Apple watch isn't for everybody and people have come to explain why it wasn't what they were looking for. You don't even know what you were looking for.

Agreed. I was about to make a nearly identical post.

I bought Space black for me , then Apple Watch for my wife and then 38mm Apple Watch for my mom
we love it. my father want one also.
My brother using Apple Watch sport.
I just order the edition.
All you said I do agree, but I'm not return it , you know why?
Nothing in the market could do like Apple watch does , that's all .

The Apple Watch is my first smart watch, but I did my research and knew exactly what I was getting before I gave them my money. I mostly use the stock apps, but have a couple of third party apps, like the United App and Citymapper. I use it for notifications, step counting, BT music when running, replying to text messages and I have used it for phone calls several times when I was in a quiet location.

If anything, I have been surprised with how good it works for most of the things I have tried. I like the fit and finish of the hardware, along with the very nice display compared to the Pebble watch I considered previously. I have found a couple of issues reported in other threads, but nothing that has made me want to return it.

you are not a fanboy. a fanboy would never have admitted any flaws in any product. the 6s would have been going in the righter direction, and be *even better* than it already was.

Yes I did indeed but you forgot to say OP also bought an iPhone 6s and raved about how Apple finally got it right... I give credit where it's due iPhone 6 Plus was underpowered there are several thread about this.

It take iPhone 9th gens to satisfied your need. 1st gen, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6, 6s.
As AW and WatchOS are also new HW platform and new OS, looks like you will have to wait unit AW9 to satisfied your need.
The problem I have is you are not Apple fanboy as you think you are. Apple fanboy embraced and raved about every generation of Apple product, not until 9th gen.
I love each gen of iPhone, and I will likely do the same for each gen of AW.

You should NOT have bought it the second time. I can understand once but twice ?

Don't try to find reasons to like it, Smartwatches are not for everyone. I absolutely Love my Apple Watch and will only sell it to buy Ver 2. It works extremely well with the Apps it comes with and if you only use Apps that work well with the watch. If an App doesnt work well I delete it and hope it improves in future with Ver 2. Remember its only Ver 1.

Not that I disagree with the OP's list of limitations, but WatchOS 2.0 wasn't going to lower the price, make the AW waterproof, or improve heart rate monitoring. Despite its shortcomings, though, I wouldn't want to be without it. Getting texts and other notifications on my wrist is very convenient, and I like using the watch for Apple Pay when I can.

You aren't a fanboy. Fanboys will defend apple products until they die. Apple is life for them. Everything apple does is perfect. Apple does no wrong. Tim Cook is your God.

Wow I just summed up 90% of users that post in the iPhone forum.

Hey, I'm an Apple Fanboi, and Tim Cook is not our God. Tim Cook is the Prophet, the annointed representative of His Steveness. :)
