Why I'm going back to iOS

These are certainly valid reasons. My iPhone 5 just gave me 8.5 hours of strenuous usage. In that, I played Super Hexagon (exclusive), played music and watched YouTube through AirPlay, browsed the web with a fantastic mobile browser, and chatted with iMessage. All in a beautiful, super thin and light phone. The camera is best-in-class, the chip is best in class, and the ecosystem is bar none. Is it that hard to see why people like iPhones?

I can do the same thing plus still have over 50% left on my battery on my Note II.
Plus I can change out my micro SD cards at will with up to 64 GB memory cards. Can your iPhone do that?

And the Note 2 is a behemoth. My phone is thin, light, and made of metal. I don't mean to sound snarky, but can you really not see the perks of the iPhone?

The ecosystem is unequivocally better on iOS, and the user experience is stellar. Those are really the only reasons.

I've had every iPhone so I am very familiar with those features.
But for me they are not really features I find useful or ones that can't be replicated in the Android system.
Honestly How many people actually make a real song on garageband on an iPhone? I would rather do that on my Mac.

Just because they aren't useful to you doesn't mean they aren't useful to others. I think it's naive to think that the competition is better "period."

I don't think the competition is better, I know.
Unless you've spend some time using the competition on a day to day basis you really are just guessing. I'm not saying there are no bad points but the Pros outweigh the Cons.

Is that not debatable? Cuz I'm pretty sure I could debate that. For you, Android may be the clear-cut choice. For me, it wasn't. I'm sure it might be one day, but your experience and preferences don't encapsulate everyone else's.

The display on the note 2 is nowhere near the quality of the iPhone 5 being AMOLED and less ppi. It also doesn't have Air Play, Super Hexagon or iMessage. So no, you can't do that on your Note 2.

The ecosystem is great but its it owned standard. I can only use it at home with Apple TV a Mac or whatever. For example if I goto a friends house I can't stream to their TV unless they have ATV. With Android I can stream to ATV, PS3, XBox, or any DLNA server which is a lot more likely then having ATV. Then same thing with Miracast, its becoming a standard and will be built into smart TV's and its only software that could be added to iPhones but it never will....we'll be forced to buy ATV still.

There was a time where all my friends used iPhones. Now its about half, and the more that move to the competition the less relevant my iPhones exclusive features become, imessage and Facetime.

Oh please. I'll give you iMessage (but really, who cares?) and Super Hexagon. I'll even give you AirPlay, even though there *IS* a way to stream via AirPlay with Android, though I don't expect you to know that.

I don't think anybody can be faulted for wanting the simple, seamless experience of iOS. The devices are great, the ecosystem is great, and iOS is powerful enough for most people (myself included). Google is a data and ad company, and while they stuff Android full of features, I don't think they have a great user experience. Things are TOO open, design is an afterthought, and the UI isn't as intuitive or satisfying. That's an opinion, by the way.

There is a couple of members that seem intent in spoiling all the threads in this part of the forum, they seem incapable of a rational debate or discussion, their "if it's not Apple it's no good" bias TBH is just ruining this forum for me. As far as they are concerned Android has no redeeming features and Apple does everything better than all the competition. Sad fact is that although they love Apple the vast majority of their posts are in the alternative to Apple and iOS forum.

Nope. A flip phone wont do any multi media things like movies, games, quality web browsing etc..its when people feel the need to edit work documents and edit and render HD movies on their phones I look at them like REALLY? They need laptops.

Whats so hard to understand, when commuting in the morning on the bus i like to watch a HD T.V episode why would i want to drag a laptop along to do this when i could have a phone to do this.

No one is saying editing documents is not going to better editing on a laptop over a phone, but it's nice to be able to do so in a pinch...

Native Facebook, TweetBot, Tiny Wings. There's countless examples. And the user experience. Users shouldn't have to worry whether their phones will get updated, deal with carrier branding and bloatware, OEM skins, etc.

There's a beauty in simplicity.

The iPhone 5s screen displays colors correctly. AMOLED screens are garbage. Far too much contrast and over saturated. The iPhones 326ppi is also much better than the Notes 267. So yes, the iPhone 5 has a much better display.
