I have an Android phone and hate it. I was thinking of ditching it for a regular cell phone, and then getting an iPad.

However, I want to be able to use Garageband and a few other apps which I now understand I can send to my MBP, but I cannot send the files back to the iPad.

I would have to buy the 64G version due to audio and video sizes, so thats $850, and then another $50-$70 per month for a data plan. So at a minimum cost of $1,450 for this year...is the iPad worth it? Why?

I'm also buying a new iMac this year and a new MBP.

At this point if you're still trying to figure this out then it's a skip-worthy purchase.

Jailbreak it and you'll be able to send garage band files back to your device, it's as simple as copy and paste.
