I've gotten Airdrop to randomly work 2 times out of the 50 or so times I've tried to use it to transfer files from iPhone to MBA. Going the other way (files from the MBA to the iPhone) seems to work fine and the iPhone shows up in Finder instantly. Strange.

The iPhone will not see the MBA no matter what. I have both on "discovered by everyone", I've tried turning off/on bluetooth, turning on the MBA first/last, toggling Airdrop on/off, toggling "discovered by everyone" on/off...just about every combo I can think of. Nothing works.

Is there a secret to getting Airdop to work from iPhone to Mac? Or can I chalk this up to another Apple hyped feature that "just doesn't work"?

Find your iPhone in your mac's bluetooth settings and connect. Worked a lot better for me after that. I saw my mac in my iphone after that for the first time.

edit: I did this a couple of days ago and it has stopped working again.
