Why is everything soo much slower!

I woke my MacBook from sleep this morning and it was very very slow! Even the wireless connection in safari was close to the speed of dial up! I restarted it and repaired permissions and its still slow! Help or please explain!

Go into disk utility and make sure the SMART status is verified(its in the bottom) Also verify your disk.
