Why is iCloud Drive taking up 70+ GB on my macbook?

Just checked my storage situation and apparently iCloud Drive is taking up 72 GB of storage on my MacBook Pro.

The thing is, I only have the free 5GB solution that I never use apart from a couple of word documents. In finder, only those documents show, certainly not 72 GB of data..

What exactly could this 72GB of data be? Can anyone assist?
