I jut found out that all iPhones have designed 500 charging cycle until 80% of designed capacity. Where the iPad and the Apple Watch has 1000 charging cycles until reaching 80% of designed capacity.

So, why is Apple only give us 500 charging cycle and then decided to throttle our phone when it is less than 80% of designed capacity? I feel like this is planned obsolesce.

I wondered about this too, I checked the iPad and it’s 400 cycles to 80% for that, so I guess the more mAH the less cycles you get, due to more wear & tear from charging

Not 500 charging cycle, but 500 charging cycle to 80%. Anything lower than 80% capacity is considered as dead battery.

Ah yes, sorry. It’s due to the larger battery as it will wear quicker in terms of charge cycles than the relatively tiny batteries in the watches etc.

? Why an ipad with larger and watch with smaller battery has more cycles?
