everytime i sync my iphone and go to click on the apps tab i tunes shuts down.. should i redownload itunes 10?

I had this issue after updating to iphone 4.1 from a jailbroken phone. I read somewhere that there may be some left over jailbroken files causing the issue. After updating to 4.1 with the issue, I than restored through Itunes to 4.1 again and the applications tab is now working.

i tried restore from back up, and it didn't help, i restored as new and it works fine now

well i reinstalled itunes 10. reinstalled 4.1. restored as a new phone. and it worked for a little while and now it is back to doing the same thing, every time i go to sync my phone and click on the app tabs it says itunes has suddenly closed or something to that effect

I have this same problem and I have never jailbroken my phone.

Thanks psywzrd for pointing me to that thread. My blank homescreen was the issue.

There was a thread in the hacks section about this issue. I think the cause of the problem is if you have any blank spaces on your homescreen. Check out the thread:

i do have a blank home screen, can anyone else confirm they also have a blank home screen and this is happening?

yup moving a folder onto the first page before i plug into itunes seems to prevent this from happening.

You have to move one icon into the blank homescreen,

I had the same problem then i tried and it fixed it :D

Good luck OP.
